Situated on the sunny side of Derby in
the north Midlands of the UK, the Sheerwater estate
sits snuggly on reclaimed farmland on the western
side of Sinfin between Grampian Primary School, the
ASDA superstore, Grampian Way and the main Derby to
Birmingham Intercity Railway line.
Despite this, the area does have quite a
lot to offer. Apart from immediate access to a number
of public houses; a large superstore; and, the city
with more cinema screens per capita than any other in
the UK, there are local attractions such as Sinfin
Moor Park, the Rolls Royce testbed facility, Reckitt
and Coleman's and so on.
WWW may stand for World
Wide Web in the
rest of the world but in this secluded part of Derby,
it stands for Weeing Wall, Wombles
and Water Sports.
